you have got to be kidding me.

I wish so bad for the photo to be in focus. the more I look at it, the more I want to cry. I feel so dumb. I feel like a new photographer again. I can't believe I missed this. I should have been prepared. I will beat myself up for it for a long time. I should have had my focus point on him and kept  it on him. I was shooting with the sigma. My iso was 400, my aperture was 4.0 and my shutter speed was 1/1000. Im super disappointed and I will get that picture next time. I failed. miserably. crap.

butttttt........
i did get tis picture and its ok. Its not amazing but it is better than the one above. my iso was 400 and my aperture was 4.0 amd my shutter speed was 1/2000.

Watermelon Supper

I took these photos at the watermelon supper last saturday. The second one was shot in the gym and probably the best one I got. It is so hard to get good or even decent pictures in the gym. I had my flash on and my settings were ISO 1000, my aperture kept changing because my lens didn't have a set aperture and it was driving me insane, it didn't help me get any better pictures, and my shutter speed was 1/125. The first picture is Lyle eating his watermelon. I love the expression on his face. It was a lot easier to shoot because it was outside and i didn't have to use flash. my settings were 400 (it was cloudy outside)  and my aperture was 5.6; my shutter speed was 1/500 of a second.

Summer Stuff

This summer I went to a yearbook workshop in Dallas. They hosted a press conference for the new show Dallas. I did not have a flash so my iso was really high (1600) and my aperture was 4.0 and my shutter speed was 1/60. And i was using a 17-50 lens. The assignment was to shoot the actual people talking at the press conference, but i saw Lauren and she looked really engaged. I wanted to capture how much the speakers drew in the audience. If i could re do it again I would definitely use a flash so It wouldn't be grainy. I chose to do it in black and white because it make the photo more dramatic.
