waterrr

I took this earlier this year and just now got around to processing it. I saw this image on flikr and wanted to recreate it. I made my brothers friend pose for me cause he has a longer hair. I set my camera to high speed drive mode. My ISO was 200, f/ 3.5 and my shutter speed was 1/2500. I wish the background wasn't so busy but I really couldn't help it. everyway i would face them something was there so it was the best I could do.

Alex and the mask

I took this picture a really long time ago and I just now got around to processing it. I fired a flash straight on  and it made the sparkles sparkle! My iso was 800, f/ 6.3 and shutter was 1/60. I didnt rreally plan for it I just saw her in her mask and was like stop, let me take a picture. If i were to do it over i would use off camera flash and make it look better. i actually didnt use a preset to set this picture. i ran the saturation down and clarity up and it made her eyes pop.

portrait

Newspaper i doing a special feature on breast cancer. Marisa's mom had it a few years ago I think. She's a lady so I had her face away from the light and had Marisa kneel behind her. My ISO was 100, my aperture was 5.0 and my shutter speed was 1/250. They wanted a formal portrait setting so i did my best to set it up correctly. I really like it, especially in black and white.

Tennis

I shot tennis Wednesday afternoon. I only got a few good pictures because a lot of things were out of focus because it would focus on the background. My ISO was 400 my aperture was 4.0 and my shutter speed was 1/1250. I hardly didn't get anything. I did crap! I have just been doing terrible. I'm so frustrated. I just didnt get one good picture. This is the closest I got.

Water drops!

Today we finally got to do water drops! Alex made the designs. We filled a pan with water and and then put our designs behind it. We fired a flash onto the paper with the design (1/32). We had to fill a ziploc bag with water and then poke a hole in it to make the water drip. I then put a pen where the water was falling to focus. then we turned the lights off and I set my  camera to manual focus ( we really didnt need to do all that because our f stop was 25. Our iso was 400 and our shutter speed was 1/250. I turned up the clarity when i processed them through light room.

KISS THE PIG!

We had the kiss the pig contest at the TX/AR pep rally, just live every year. This year there was a three way tie! Mista Williams, Mr. Bailey, and Coach Bodkin. The gym is really hard to light well so I fired the flash straight on. My settings were 2000, 4.0 and 1/160. And I was using a 70-200 lens. I feel that i really captured the moment. I stood back pretty far, I wish I would've been a little closer.

PHOTOSHOP!

Brianna took the picture, but it needed apps on it. So since I was failing at taking pictures of camo day (the all looked away from the camera). So i learned how to select pictures off the internet and put them on a picture. Select>all. edit>copy. then click on the picture you want the pictures on(if that makes any sense) and edit>paste. then command "T", then hold down shift when you resize the picture. DONT let go of the shift key until you let go if mouse!

Stevy

On Friday I was asked to take a picture of Stevy for tiger times online. I had to take it 3 times to get it right, really. Appaprently the first one didnt look right. He was getting a profile for being a swimmer. It was so bright outside, so I wasn't sure how well the photo would turn out, but it wasn't too bad. They wanted it by the pond, original. My iso was 100, my aperture was 4.0 and my shutter speed was 1/2000. I think if i would have used a flash to expose for him, it would have turned out better. but they were in a hurry for the picture so...but it turned out ok. Third time is a charm, right?

Photography head shots (make up blog)

For tiger times online, the photographers get a picture and a bio! So Alex and I split up the work. At first I was posing them wrong( and all the newspaper staff is posed wrong as well, whoops), but i fixed the photographers! Females chests-AWAY from the light! My iso was 100, aperture was 5.0, and my shutter speed was 1/250. My flash power was 1/4.
